  • Love these podcasts by a lovely honest North Eastern Lad, very entertaining and good banter with his special guests. All types of films and documentaries reviewed from modern blockbusters to wartime information films, and not forgetting the reviews about different Titanic films and documentaries. Brilliant! Something for everyone

Did Abnormal Refraction Doom The Titanic? 'Titanic: A Very Deceiving Night' (2012 Book) with Author, Historian and TV Presenter Tim Maltin
Q: How did abnormal refraction influence the perceived distance and size of ships on that night?
It caused horizon elevation and refraction effects that could make distant ships appear smaller and closer to the observer than they actually were, misleading lookouts and commanders about the true situation.
