洗足学園音楽大学「トスカ」「ボエーム」「マクベス」「椿姫」「愛の妙薬」など数多くのオペラに出演、藤原歌劇団を代表するバリトン歌手として活躍。新国立歌劇場では開場以来「アイーダ」に出演後、「セビリアの理髪師」「蝶々夫人」「リゴレット」「ナブッコ」など出演を重ねている。また「イタリア初期バロック時代の歌唱法について」などの研究論文を発表し、バロック時代の演奏法と研究は高い評価を得ている。各地で音楽セミナーや講習会を主宰、講師として参加し、バロック時代の歌唱法を基にした発声法や演奏表現を後進に伝えている。国立音楽大学卒業、同大学院修了。日伊声楽コンコルソ・シエナ大賞、パヴィーア国際声楽コンクール第２位、F・P・ネリア国際コンクール第1位、ジローオペラ賞など受賞。藤原歌劇団団員。日本ロッシーニ協会演奏委員。
