Retro Dodo #103 - A New 8BitConsole Is Coming... Seriously - Let's Talk With The Founder Of GAMETANK
Q: What shall we expect in terms of packaging for GameTank and its games?
I'm aiming for nice packaging that resembles the full retro experience, pairing cartridges with labels and potentially drop shipping for independent developers.
Retro Dodo #103 - A New 8BitConsole Is Coming... Seriously - Let's Talk With The Founder Of GAMETANK
Q: Will you be crowdfunding GameTank?
Yes, I plan to start a crowdfunding campaign soon to kick off mass production, as I've already made and sold some units at expos.
Retro Dodo #103 - A New 8BitConsole Is Coming... Seriously - Let's Talk With The Founder Of GAMETANK
Q: What are the games that you think you might release with GameTank?
I have finished a couple of games, with the biggest one being 'The Cursed Fiend', a top-down hack and slash rogue-like game. I'm also working on a Metroidvania titled 'Ganymede.'
Retro Dodo #103 - A New 8BitConsole Is Coming... Seriously - Let's Talk With The Founder Of GAMETANK
Q: What inspired you to make the GameTank console?
I wanted to accomplish something big, to create an identity in the gaming world, similar to what the major companies like Nintendo and Sega achieved during the console wars. My background in software and computer science propelled me to tackle building my own console.
Retro Dodo #101 - Interviewing The Man Behind God of War, Twisted Metal, & Mickey Mania
Q: What do you think about the series as it's gone on?
I'm torn because I think God of War 2018 was excellent, but I find Kratos whiny and mopey in the new iterations.
