Nice to hear you support communities that look different than you and allie with people who've historically been abused. I'd prefer to have heard from the people who are members of the north St. Louis community instead of their "white saviors".
This is the history they don’t teach you in school. As a white person I need to educate myself to help dismantle white supremacy and give back power to Black and indigenous colonized people to have control over their own lives and livelihoods.
This is a very powerful podcast full of history on what european people have done to African and Indigenous people through colonialism, and why white peope should support reparations to the black community. 10/10 would highly recommend. A great follow-up is to read the book "Overturning the Culture of Violence" by Penny Hess, which is quoted throughout the series.
