Back in the summer of 2008, Josh and Anthony watched the first two seasons of Friday Night Lights in Anthony's basement. Now, over a decade after their first time through the series, older, wiser, and balder, Josh and Anthony rewatch the series and talk through each episode, examining and evaluating as they go. Listen and watch along as they revisit one of the best TV Dramas of all time, Friday Ni... more

Always wanted to watch Friday Night Lights just never got around to it. Then the pandemic hit and I decided to finally do it. Along the way I found the perfect podcast to along with it. Josh and Anthony mix humor with deep knowledge and love for this great show.
I started listening to this podcast about a year ago with my second rewatch of FNL. Josh and Anthony have great rapport and I feel like they have become my pals that I've never met. I enjoy their banter, side stories and the personal details they bring to the podcast. They also give good insight and opinions on the show. I especially appreciate and fully agree with their Alien Baby Gracie theory. Highly recommend this podcast for fans of FNL!
Had the urge to rewatch the show and I found the podcast looking for commentary. Great banter. 5 Grain Belts.
I love FNL and wanted a podcast to follow as I rewatch. I enjoy their take and like the ratings they give (Coach Taylor Inspo-rating, Buddy sleaze-ball moment, etc.). The only thing I would change is the edit. I know to automatically skip about 10 minutes at the beginning, but there are times when the small talk lasts for almost 20 minutes, and digressions during the episode happen frequently as well. Otherwise, I enjoy it!
I found this podcast while watching FNL on Netflix in order to share the experience of watching and loving the show. After listening to quite a few episodes, I have come to love listening to your recaps, opinions/speculations, and tangents (and even the “Anthony gets political segments”). Y’all are super fun and witty and when you finish FNL, I hope you continue with another show (I’ll give you some suggestions🤞) or maybe just start over again. 😄 Please keep doing what you’re doing as you’v... more
I really enjoy this podcast. I’ve watched the series through 4 times and they’ve brought new things to my attention such as notable music and outdated pop culture references. I knew I’d like it when they introduced the Julie Taylor hate-o-meter.
We watch FNL. It’s both great and ridiculous at times. This podcast is hilarious and breaks down a lot of the far fetched stuff that goes on including Why IS buddy allowed at every practice? Lila’s cliche religious themes, a beer count for Riggings and of course baby Alien Gracie.
These guys are hysterical. I am not cultural and find myself googling their millennial phrase. I love their awards for each episode. I feel like I could have a beverage of the week!&
