The zenith of Chunga, or Brett Smith, was definitely somewhere around 2001 when he was on The End with Mister West. I get the biggest kick out of this show when I want a good laugh and eye roll. Having known Chunga, or as I knew him in HS ... Brett Smith, his stories are complete B.S. He constantly repeats stories that are either completely made up, stolen from others or possibly have SMALL thread of truth to them.
I haven't talked to him since just after high school, but keep in contact with ... more
I have given up on this show mainly because I can’t get through an episode. Not only are past “OTHER” hosts sorely missed, but the episode lengths are too long! I can barely get through one episode before a new one is out.
But, honestly if they cut to chase quicker and stopped taking 15-20 on Patreon names they might be faster. I’d fast forward those parts but when I’m listening I’m driving and can’t easily do that.
This show has A LOT of issues that just doesn’t make it enjoyable anymore.... more
This used to be my favorite podcast, but over the past several years it's been dying a slow and painful death that, quite frankly, is hard to watch. I have been an avid listener of Chunga's (aka Brett Smith) over the past several decades. I used to listen to the him and Mr. West in the mornings on my way to school. But, the death of Radio Ronin was pretty much foretold after the way he booted Mister from the morning show back in 2007.
I am not here to solely pile it onto a morally bankrupted i... more
Look. I grew up listening to Chunga on the radio. The End was fun. I miss it. I followed him after he was fired from the station. I listened to this podcast up until a couple years ago and came up to try again, but this show just isn't good. Having worked with some past radio people that worked with Chunga, I understand now why Jess, Kenny D, Josh and Spencer left. Knowing all of that there's no why I can trust or believe anything that comes from Chunga's mouth. It's sad.
I would just give a fa... more
I have listened to every show since the beginning. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt when cohosts started disappearing over the years. Well the wool has been pulled off my eyes now, and the charm has run out. The fun is now gone and it seems all they do now is complain about weather and read Patreon names for half the show.
