Start with episode one. In 1995, a number of video tapes were made for employees of the European Union. Through the course of the series, they learned what they could expect to happen in the twenty-first century. The audio from these tapes is released now as a podcast. • Fun, unique and surprising

Imagine an alternate Europe of the 90’s like some sort of off-world planet, complete with instructional tapes to orient potential residents. Written and narrated by the talented Felix Trench from Wooden Overcoats, this podcast is quirky and totally charming. And who can pull off this unique narrative device? It’s him!

  • To try and describe this show would rather spoil the fun of it I feel so all I'll say is if you enjoy slightly surreal perspectives on things that effect us all then you'll love this. The sound design is masterful and the writing is so smart and funny that each relisten brings a joke I missed the first time. Pure joy at this bonkers premise that Felix has somehow made work and work extremely well.

  • How to describe this delightful concoction of satire and weirdness? Mix two tablespoons of Lynch with four ounces of Monthy Python, shake, stir and serve with a garnish of Forced Entertainment and maybe - just maybe - you can start to imagine what this could have been, if it wasn't entirely different.

  • Quid Pro Euro is presented in a way that's comfortably familiar for any child of the 80s who endured weird fuzzy public service video tapes at school. It's also utterly hilarious, a hoot AND a joy. It does 'surreal' the right way - by being smart, observant, and with a pitch-perfect delivery that gets the clever rhythms of the writing just right. I am overjoyed that this podcast exists.
