《あらすじ》一方、野田家では自分が帰宅しても横になって休んでいた弥生に良の不満が止まらない。そんな良にあかりと武志は弥生をかばって父親をやり込める。弥生は子どもたちの成長を実感するのだった。
《あらすじ》愛と眞も新しいテレビを見たいのだが、加奈と登はそうはさせないと意地悪をする。久子は五月のしつけが悪いと激怒する。キミは久子の味方だ。五月は子どもたちに自分たちには勇がいるので幸せなのだと優しく諭す。
《あらすじ》暗い顔をして帰宅した大吉、節子と葉子を長子が出迎える。葉子は太郎の親に反対され縁談は自然消滅すると思っていたことと、やりがいのある仕事に打ち込みたいことを両親に話す。やがて大吉は葉子の好きにすればいいと理解を示す。節子もさばさばした様子で、文子と五月に葉子の破談を報告する。その頃「幸楽」では久子の子どもたちを憐れんでキミが買ってやった大型テレビを巡り、子どもたちの間にいさかいが起こっていた。
