隙間がないと生きにくいよなあって話をつらつらと。
職場で年齢を尋ねる機会は年々減っているが、
先日珍しくそんな話題になって共有したところ、
またしても僕が一番年下ということが発覚した。
40年以上生きてもまだまだ下っ端だ。
やらないといけないことも忙しさにかまけてできておらず、
計画性もあったものじゃない。
こんなことがあと20年くらいつづくのかと思うと目眩もする。
時間的余裕がない状況は僕をどうにもこうにも擦り減らす。
改めて今日はお休みを取得してよかったなと思う。

哲さんは僕からすると(当時全く知らなかったが)大学の先輩なので、
どこか畏敬の念みたいなものがある。
また、
ポッドキャストを始めたかなり初期の頃からやり取りをして下さり、
折々のタイミングで気さくに接して下さるお兄ちゃんでもあるので、
やはり深い感謝というか恩というか、
あたたかい縁を感じている。
ただその感じで曲を作ろうとすると何だか変に謙ってしまいそうな気がするなあと思って、
やや強引に距離感を近づけてみようとした。

言いたいことや思ったことを言えなくなるポッドキャストはいよいよ何なのだろうと思うことがある。
始めたころはそんなことを気にしていなかったはずなのだけどなあと思って、
初期の配信回を勇気を出して聴いてみたのだが、
原因はなんとなくわかったような気がした。
僕にも少なからず大切なひとができたということなのだろう。
聴いて下さる方や友達や仲間の顔が、
心が見える距離になったことで、
どこか躊躇いのようなものができたのかも知れない。

相手との関係性が強固であれ曖昧であれ、
自分はこういう人間ですと伝えることに躊躇いはある。
もしかすると何か気に障る点があって、
そこから嫌われるかも知れない。
また、
ひとりになるかも知れない。
好かれるかも知れないと希望をどこかで抱いているはずなのに。
