Kay Holladay Rocks the Cradle, Boat and Vote
Q: So I'm thinking if you could give just a little nugget of, what do you as an activist either prevent burnout or how do you come back to the fight?

Q: When your son came out to you, did you have any difficulty understanding or accepting? I mean, were you prepared for that moment?
I always knew David was gay from the time he was four years old, but I didn't have any language for that. It was a tough transition for us, and I outed him, which is something I wouldn't recommend to anyone.

Q: What do you feel like you lost by coming out and making this stand?
While I lost relationships and faced rejection, the collateral damage was an acceptable cost for authenticity.
