I grew up in Washington state and was a few years older than Isaiah. Followed his journey eh from the Curtis days making it rain in the Tacoma dome, to Boston, and to now. Absolutely love him. Live how he breaks down the game. Love the stories most of all. Thanks IT! #slowgrind

With Lebron/KD/Steph getting older it feels like the torch is passing in the NBA. What 2-4 players are going to take the next step and be the new face of the league? ANT? SGA? Wemby?

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Isaiah Thomas Breaks Down His Celtics Playoff Runs
Q: Based on what we've seen so far in this Celtics squad, do you see Jayson Tatum defying the odds and getting Finals MVP if they go deep, and does Boston have a real shot at another title this year?
I believe they have a legitimate shot to reach the finals and contend for the championship, with Tatum proving to be a top-tier player who could contend for finals MVP if the team makes a deep run, though the path goes through a competitive Western Conference this season.
Isaiah Thomas Breaks Down His Celtics Playoff Runs
Q: Are you down to just get into it and talk about some of your best games?
Yes, I'm ready to dive into the moments that defined those playoff runs, recounting the preparation, the crowd, the pressure, and the strategic moves that led to standout performances.
Fred VanVleet & Isaiah Thomas on Making it as Small Guards
Q: What does it take to give game to a small guard trying to make it, especially in today's bigger-man game?
Stay extremely prepared, work on shooting reliably from three, be disruptive on defense, and learn to space the floor so you can survive switches and still contribute. It's about constant improvement, relentless work, and being willing to ask for help and learn.
Isaiah Thomas on Facing Kobe, All-Star Game and UW Memories
Q: What was your favorite general Kobe moment or memory from playing with him in the league?
My favorite moment was at his last game in TD Garden, where I got to sit with him for a couple hours before the game, me and him in the locker room and chop it up.
Isaiah Thomas on Facing Kobe, All-Star Game and UW Memories
Q: What was even going way back when your kids first started playing sports? What was sort of your mentality?
I just go with how they want. I'm going to put tools in their ear to go work out, but this is going to be something you want.
