  • Best sales podcast

I've listened to quite a few sales podcasts, and this one takes the cake. Best guests, best questions that lead to the best insights and actionable tips. I mean.... Simon Sinek? Jeb Blount? How do you land these guests?? I would pay lots of money for the information you give for free. Please never ever stop doing this podcast.

  • Must listen

This is my favourite podcast. Danny and the guests will help you get better at pitching, story telling and surfacing creative ways of sharing your ideas with the world. I have learned so much to help me win prioritization battles. Unexpectedly, my son (14 year old) is also interested as he listens in the car with me - I know he took away many great tips on presentation and story telling as well. Keep it up Danny!

S2 E07 VIDEO VERSION: Melody Wilding, Executive Coach and Author of Managing Up
Q: When is the right time to mention money in a pitch?
There isn't one universal rule; it depends on your context. You should align the pricing discussion with your approach, possibly stating a concrete price early to filter for fit or slipping it in later with a framing that emphasizes fairness and future value.
S2 E06: Terry Szuplat, Former Obama Speechwriter and Bestselling Author
Q: What was day one working for Barack Obama like?
He describes the entry into a high-stakes environment, the gate access, and the need to listen and learn the president's voice and priorities. The team built trust through thorough preparation, weekly in-depth discussions, and aligning the speech with a central core message the president wanted to convey.
S2 E06 VIDEO VERSION: Terry Szuplat, Former Obama Speechwriter and Bestselling Author
Q: What was the transition like from a White House role to public speaking and training others?
It required discovering a niche, embracing your own stories, and learning to teach others how to craft messages with authenticity, rather than simply reciting polished speeches.
S2 E06 VIDEO VERSION: Terry Szuplat, Former Obama Speechwriter and Bestselling Author
Q: How do you pitch yourself and establish your own voice after years of writing for others?
Develop a personal narrative that highlights your unique experiences and voice, then use it to demonstrate how you can help others. It's about showing what only you can say, not mimicking others.
S2 E05 VIDEO VERSION: Lorraine K. Lee, Executive Presence Expert, Keynote Speaker, and Author of Unforgettable Presence
Q: What advice would you give to someone just starting to build their personal brand on LinkedIn?
Be consistent rather than chasing high frequency; post meaningful content across personal, educational, and professional buckets, and focus on authentic storytelling that connects with people.
