I recently started to rewatch Sex and City. This is my personal opinion: It was a MA show that attempted to address sexuality from a woman’s point of view and convey that women too sought out sex for pleasure and were worthy of pleasure. While it radicalized our society, there was a crucial thing absent from the show that did not permit women to truly embrace that pleasure was “ok”: true emotional depth.
