2026年6月26日・27日に開催予定だった「郡上おどりin青山」が、台風7・8号の影響で26日のみの開催に。そのタイミングで東京遠征する予定だった愛媛の盆踊り好きひかりさんは、泣く泣く遠征をキャンセル。しかし、踊る気満々だったので、急きょ遠征先を関西に変更。27日に開催された盆踊り、尼崎、貝塚、南港の３ヶ所を回って気づいたこと、感じたことをお聴きしました。

後半では、江頭さんが現在どれほど深く高島おどりに関わっているのかが語られます。踊りの練習会だけでなく、音頭、三味線、お囃子の練習にも関わり、会場調整やスケジュール管理、連絡など、運営の実務も担う江頭さん。さらに、次世代に残すために、音源をもとに楽譜化したり、動画やデータとして記録したりする作業にも取り組んでいます。

今回のゲストは、滋賀県高島市の「高島おどり」に関わる江頭さん。高島おどりは、かつて各集落に残っていた高島音頭を、今に受け継ぐための盆踊りです。江頭さん自身も、音頭取りの家系に生まれ、母は踊り子。もともとは各地の盆踊りに通う「ただの踊り好き」でしたが、すべての踊りを覚えたことをきっかけに、実行委員長の大西さんから声をかけられ、2018年のリニューアルに関わることになります。
