I love Marissa’s perspective on finding parallels between dog training and personal growth. Thank you for emphasizing how important it is for dog guardians to take care of themselves! I have learned so much from this podcast.
I gain so much from listening to this podcast! I’ve had 4 family dogs as an adult and two years ago I brought home my first puppy. This time, it’s just me raising and training a dog. Marissa’s podcast reminds me to listen to my instincts and intuition. As a result, my dog and I have become a good team. Very grateful for the wisdom offered here!
I've been following this podcast since its inception and it's a favorite! Marissa is knowledgable, compassionate and experienced in working with both ends of the leash. I always come away with deep insights as well as thoughtful tools to support myself and my pup. more
Love the Paws & Reward podcast for so many reasons. Marissa talks about both her work with pet parents and sheltering from the heart and in a compassionate way. The relationship with my dog and myself have grown so much through the Paws & Reward podcast.
The idea that “urban shelters in high crime areas” have “no good dogs” is deeply ignorant and racist. People espousing these ignorant views shouldn’t be given a platform.
