There is a Ron Jon Surf Shop there. Cocoa Beach. Opens at 9. I wouldn’t have known had it not been for this podcast. Thank you
Very nice and witty short form with some deep thoughts behind it.
Liz’s (barely) thinly veiled misanthropy, deep well of sarcasm on all topics, and overwhelming commitment to the bit is a literal laugh per 30 seconds. I can’t think of a favorite episode because every single one has me cackling. I already loved Liz on Campaign but this, truly, makes it feel like she was meant to be a sardonic, punny AI already falling into the chasm of existential dread, and therefore comedy at its finest.
This show is great, lots of fun and funny
It's been awhile since I've been quite this excited about a new-to-me podcast. I learned of it through Civilized. Liz Anderson was so great in her guest role that I subscribed to Paired while they were still talking after the episode. Paired is laugh-out-loud funny (I'm usually one to enjoy laughter on the inside), sweet, and thoughtful. Bonus is that I'm okay with listening around my kids (I'm on season two), and the humor is something they can get into as well. Paired is rapidly becoming a fav... more
There’s lots of things to love about paired it’s comedy, plot, voice acting, writing, commentary on technology, and the list goes on. The thing I love about it the most though is the way problem solving is done. Most of the time the characters problems can be talked through and fixed but sometimes they can’t and I love it because both are presented as okay. A fun AI won’t magically fix all your problems in one day and that’s fine. Paired has quickly became one of my favorite podcast because of i... more
This podcast is such a treat. I’ve enjoyed listening to Liz from other podcasts and was overjoyed when I discovered she hard her own. Her humor and wit is like a breath of fresh air and never ceases to make my day better.
Pairy is such a wonderful character that you can’t help but love as soon as you meet them. I can’t recommend the podcast enough to anyone who like comedy, sci-fi, and drama all wrapped up in one fun package.
Funny, calming, and clever. Love it!
Smart-home AI just wants to be helpful; She jumps around from device to device (not limited to one home) going on adventures and trying to guide her poor human through whatever uncomfortable situation they've found themself in. (I cannot describe this in a way that communicates how much fun it is. Just try it.)
This show is hilarious. I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but I gave it a go and I'm so glad I did. It's light-hearted, bite-sized episodes, and they're all independent (at least so fa... more
Paired is genuinely one of the most original podcasts out there. The idea of Pairy the AI becoming sentient and trying to get an understanding of the world is genius. As you begin to wonder how the show can evolve, the AI manages to escape the confines of the room to connect (pair) with all sorts of devices in the world around them. There is an underlying story arc, about which I don't want to give too much away - it is only briefly and occasionally touched on, but is incredibly moving. This is... more

Funny, acerbic and well written, go on, get yourself Paired

I was pleasantly surprised by this show, I binged seasons 1 and 2 in a couple weeks and have been having a great time with season three, but the key word there is surprised.
Despite beginning and ending each episode by saying “Peared” and “Unpeared” there has been no discussion of Pears. While the narrative was compelling and wonderful, part of the reason I kept listening was because I was really hoping they would get to the topic they keep promising they’ll talk about.

I have LOVED this podcast from the very first episode. I began listening because it sounded like an amusing short diversion - a few minutes of humor to balance out the intensity/length of whatever serialized audio drama I was listening to at the time (possibly We're Alive? I was late to that game 😬).
And at first, that's exactly what it was! But Pairy is such an intriguing and appealing character that by the 2nd or 3rd episode, I found myself wanting to get to know her better, wishing for lon... more
Paired is very funny and is a much needed distraction in these crazy times.
