What's it like to spend six months walking the length of the United States, from Mexico to Canada, following a wilderness trail? Liz and Simon Willis tackled the Pacific Crest Trail in 2002 at a time many people now consider to be a 'classic era' on the PCT. They recorded conversations with hikers, trail angels and townsfolk and, eventually, assembled them into this audio time capsule of a life-ch... more

Excellent production quality. Great story that rivals any audio book on hiking long trails.
I enjoyed this podcast, it was fun to listen to when I felt like I needed to be out and about in the wilderness.
Fun listen, and good people!
Loved this episode. Just a month ago I bumped into the son of the people who ran hiker heaven and he invented me into his guest house! Great people
I have been listening to a few books recounting the PCT through hike experiences. Each one had a different take on it and I warmed to all of them even if at the outset sometimes I was not immediately connecting with the narrator. This podcats is a super complement to what I heard about PCT told in the snippet interviews with people doing it. So not only one person recount but voices, opinions, stories of others. It is really great. I hope one day I will share this experience in real myself.
