Fantastic podcast with so many take aways. As someone who struggles with public speaking each episode offers useful tips.
Making small talk comes easily to my extrovert personality, however for introverts learning how to be more comfortable with small is hard. I thought her suggestions of how to make small talk was right on. The key for is showing interest in wanting to know more about the person. Open ended questions help to engage and yes and no questions are dead ends.
I first had the pleasure of meeting and working with Karin Reed for an internal to my company "Ted Talks" type event where I was one of people selected to present. I am forever grateful !!! If she can convert this "Eliza Doolittle" into a polished presenter, she can convert anybody. Karin is amazing !!!
