The Pauls are by now essentially my otherworldly guides to film and media, or at least to rubbish film and media. This podcast has given me so giggles and good times, and as someone who loves watching bad movies, hearing two very funny guys searching frantically for the diamond-in-the-rough moments of some truly terrible films is always wonderful fun. Listening almost feels like hanging out in the pub with a couple of your mates, the ones who are definitely funnier than you but aren't arseholes ... more
It's easy to sit back and take the piss out of a bad movie, but to take the time to watch through these terrible films and find something enjoyable about it, to change they way you can see these bad films, that's something special. Still working my way through their back catalogue, but One Good Thing has been thoroughly enetertaining throughout.
The best! The best! The best!
My father turned me on to this podcast after he subscribed to a bunch of movie review podcasts and then unsubscribed to all but this one. I love hearing the Pauls review some of the worst movies ever made, but still try to find something redeemable about them. You can hear their friendship in the podcast and it really makes you feel like you’re part of the fun too. more
The Pauls’ style of podcasting is very entertaining. They’ve taken on the novel task of finding one redeeming quality in some of Hollywood’s biggest stinkers. From beginning to end, each episode is a blast and leaves me laughing, eagerly awaiting the next episode.
