Sam Rager and the Benefit of Attrition
Q: What was your first open mic like?
I took a comedy class and performed at Mark Ridley's with a supportive audience, which gave me a rush and helped me continue despite many bombs afterward.
Sam Rager and the Benefit of Attrition
Q: Was comedy always important in your life?
Yes, it became a defense mechanism in high school for a shy and awkward kid. My dad was always into stand-up, exposing me to it from a young age.
Kai VonDoom and the Pre-Stripper Entertainment
Q: How do you like the scene now?
It's weird because I went from being the new kid to as soon as the pandemic was over, I'm pretty much the OG in the scene.
Kai VonDoom and the Pre-Stripper Entertainment
Q: When did stand up come into play for you?
In April, it'll be eight years.
Sarina Ochoa and the Internal Pain
Q: What got you started in stand-up comedy?
Sarina explains that after feeling burnt out from MMA training and wanting a break, she ventured into comedy and was encouraged by her initial success at an open mic.
