  • Rude

Jessica of this podcast lead me to head to her instagram, Dress Like a Princess. Which as a Royal fan is right up my street. However, if you leave a comment you get a passive aggressive reply and she clearly doesn’t know how to operate or wish to grow her brand. Skip.

  • Authentic Takes on Modern Royalty

Hosts are honest and engaging. Their perspectives as anti-monarchists give a unique and refreshing take on royal watching. I really like that they also focus on royal families from around the world too and not just the Brits.

It’s not that serious but sometimes the show suffers from being too contrarian. the hosts always agree with one another and give off a sense of “i’m always right so you’re wrong”….. hopefully one of the hosts will unblock me on tumblr after i disagreed with one of their t... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

178) "Go for the jugular" (Q&A)
Q: The second question concerns whether there is a difference between royals who take a break after university and those who go straight into royal duties, and what that means for the next generation.
The hosts argue that while gaps exist in different generations, both approaches can work; the key is how each individual uses the time off to learn, gain perspective, and prepare for leadership, rather than a simple linear comparison across eras.
178) "Go for the jugular" (Q&A)
Q: So we have a question from an anonymous source about whether it matters if a royal heir enters full-time royal work immediately or takes a break to pursue other interests or professions.
They conclude that it doesn't matter drastically; breaks can be beneficial for socializing, gaining real-world experience, and learning skills not covered by a degree, but it depends on how the time is used and the individual's goals.
173) "Greece or nothing" (Q&A)
Q: Could Constantine and Marie become working members of the Danish royal family after the abolition of the Greek monarchy if they wanted to?
They could theoretically be invited to work royal roles, and in Denmark the government would decide funding and allowances; public support for them would likely be supportive, making a potential transition plausible if political will aligned.
166) "Go and find an adult" (Q&A)
Q: How do you both always have the most sensible answers to questions like this? Is it instinct or taught?
The hosts discuss how they manage discussions online, emphasizing time to reflect, researching with sources, and using private spaces to vent before responding. They also reference therapeutic strategies and a guiding principle about not engaging in every argument, which helps keep discussions constructive.
156) "You're on your own now, kid" (Q&A)
Q: Could a royal marry a politician in their country?
Yes, royals can marry politicians, but it may not be advisable due to the potential impact on public perception.
