I met Valerie online when she spoke at the Society for Nutrition Education and Behaviour conference in 2020 or so - one of the COVID-19 years I think. I was immediately in love with Valerie - the way she speaks with gentle confidence and care, the indigenous ways that she is rooted in and sharing with others, her passion. I am a second generation immigrant to the US now living in Germany. While in the US I had some connection to seasonal food through a CSA and my love of heirloom
