「記憶」は、私たちの脳のどこに、どのように残されているのでしょうか？
今回のOIST Hub Radioでは、OISTの田中和正准教授を迎え、人工的に冬眠状態にしたマウスの脳を調べることで見えてきた、「記憶」の新しい仕組みについてお話を伺います。
これまで、長期的な記憶は、神経細胞同士のつながり（シナプス）が強くなることで維持されると考えられてきました。今回の研究では、人工冬眠というユニークな手法を用いることで、記憶を支える脳の構造について新たな発見が得られました。
