  • Bryce Rossler

Off the Charts is one of a small handful of NFL league wide podcasts I always checkout, listening to most of them (depends on topic being covered). (I’m a long (40 years) suffering Detroit Lions’ fan.) Bryce and his guests offer intelligent, up to date NFL analysis. Well worth checking out if you have yet to listen to OTC.

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

2026 NFL Draft Preview: Skill Position Players and Positional Round Value Evaluation
Q: From an analytical perspective, which position groups show the clearest and most durable value in the first round versus later rounds?
The data point to quarterbacks having the most pronounced early-round premium, with significant production and retention advantages when drafted in the first round; running backs also show a meaningful uptick for early picks, while guards—especially right guards—tend to show less drop-off and can be valued similarly across rounds. Edge rushers maintain value even if not on every snap, indicating a nuanced premium.
2026 NFL Draft Preview: Linebackers and Defensive Backs
Q: Which players stand out as two day-two prospects to watch closely?
Anthony Hill and Jacob Rodriguez are highlighted as fringe first-round prospects who could be solid day-two picks, with potential for Day 2 values depending on scheme fit and performance in pre-draft evaluations.
2026 NFL Draft Preview: Linebackers and Defensive Backs
Q: Jordan, could you break down the critical factors for linebackers and how they differ between Mike and Will roles?
The factors are broadly similar across the two, but Mike requires three-down ability and durability while Will emphasizes play in space, athleticism, and coverage. Both rely on FBI and instincts, plus overall play speed, with additional emphasis on range and pass rush fit depending on the exact role.
Week 1 Review: Let's Not Overreact ... Plus Our New Injury Prediction Model
Q: Do you kind of view it with more grain of salt or are you just still taking it as week one as you always did?
There's a reminder that week one can be anomalous and not to overreact.
Super Bowl Recap (The Eagles dominate, the Chiefs wilt)
Q: Do you think the Chiefs lost their commitment to the run game?
It wasn't that they abandoned it, but rather that they recognized it wasn't working and adjusted their strategy accordingly.
