  • The Best Baseball Podcast

This is the best baseball podcast, may even be best baseball CONTENT . Great guests and love how they take the coverage beyond the A’s and will do deep dives on baseball in general. I am Townie’s age so I love all of the 80s and early 90s baseball references. Cody is great also, the perfect wingman for Townie. Keep up the great work boys and more Ed Halicki references please!

  • Great Podcast!!

Love how you talk about the players, not the move to Vegas. Keep it up Towny and Cody. Go A’s!

  • The American Version of State-ran Media

A’s Cast was once upon a time an outlet for fans to vent and celebrate and Towny was an ally of the fans. Now A’s Cast is an outlet for the A’s to push their Vegas propaganda and Towny is a shill to John Fisher and Dave Kaval. Going along with the organizations, current social media fan blockade, I am sure they will do away with a post game call in show. I wouldn’t be surprised if they are reaching out to Apple to block negative reviews of A’s Cast.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

A's Cast - The Mark Kotsay Show - Ep. 117
Q: What was the takeaway from the Brewers series and how does the bullpen fit into the plan moving forward?
The bullpen has stepped up with multi-inning outings and a mix of relievers who can get outs and close games, including a standout performance from Mason Barnett and the continued development of young arms like Gage Jump, which has allowed the team to manage workloads and trust different pitchers in late innings.
A's Cast - A's Cast Live - Best of the Week 5/25, 2026
Q: How do you stay ready when you're a defensive replacement or come in later in games?
Stay engaged, communicate with the coaching staff, and keep your routine in a rhythm so you can jump in and perform when called upon.
A's Cast - A's Cast Live - Best of the Week 5/25, 2026
Q: What has been the best part of joining the big leagues this season?
Being part of a winning team, competing at the highest level, and learning from veteran players while gaining confidence in himself.
A's Cast - The Farm - Ep 87 Ft. Barry Enright
Q: How do you balance development with winning at the minor league level?
By integrating a 30,000-foot view with ground-level coaching, leveraging biomechanics and analytics, and building strong relationships with players to gain buy-in for a consistent development plan that can eventually translate to success in the big leagues.
A's Cast - The Farm - Ep 87 Ft. Barry Enright
Q: What's the adjustment like from coaching major league pitchers to coaching minor leaguers who are just starting out in pro ball?
The main shift is focusing more on development, leadership, and creating individualized plans, while still maintaining a competitive, professional environment that emphasizes daily processes and long-term growth rather than immediate big-league results.
