We analyzed 2024 unit-level direct care RN survey data from the National Database of Nursing Quality Indicators, covering 1,789 inpatient units across 221 hospitals, and examined five PES domains in relation to nurse outcomes like retention, job enjoyment, respect and recognition, and missed nursing care to identify which levers most influence these outcomes.
