One of my fav episodes! Loved listening to Maureen Johnson talk about writing in general and ya in particular. It really made me reflect on my own writing and how it evolved throughout school - and why (or part of why) I struggled so much at certain times of my life. Melissa and Marve have also improved so much as interviewers! You can hear their confidence and the questions are wonderful.
Melissa is so personal and intelligent, great questions, authentic and real….utilitarian for those interested in storytelling. Genuine insight from folks that know about animation and the entertainment industry. Marve is a social scientist, her “outside of the industry” insight is spot on and smart.
