  • Better Mics

Great convo but if the show is going to be recorded via zoom please make sure the guest have a mic to speak into. The bad audio makes it hard to listen too.

  • Loved this episode

I saw a Tabitha Brown clip on IG and tuned in —was grateful for this nuanced conversation about her not best moments with target and other endeavors. I think Kev is a great interviewer and glad he didn’t gloss over the hard conversations because they are friends in real life. Now I’m going to listen to the other episodes I missed.. great content so far!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Danni Rose on Business Scams, Veneers and Staying Grounded in Faith
Q: Tell me about this veneer story that happened during your first Food Network filming.
Danni explains she got veneers right before a big season, endured painful adjustments, and had to perform with altered speech, which created significant on-camera awkwardness and anxiety but ultimately led to a learning experience about body image and preparation.
Touré Roberts on Allergic Reactions and the Power of Knowing
Q: How did you decide what to do when you faced major personal and professional reversals?
By listening to an inner knowing and the Holy Spirit, and choosing to stay authentic to my calling rather than follow external validation, turning setbacks into opportunities to grow and speak truth.
Charles Brockman III From Starting Blocks to Social Clicks
Q: How did you handle the switch from being a top track athlete to a social media creator in terms of mindset and routine?
I leaned on the discipline from track, treated content as another form of training, maintained a strict practice and publishing cadence, and gradually built a new routine around hosting, filming, and networking in LA.
Charles Brockman III From Starting Blocks to Social Clicks
Q: Was there a singular moment where you decided not to chase track anymore and focus on content creation?
Yes, there was a transition period, but the decisive moment came when I realized I wasn't sustainable training at the same pace and my independent content growth was pulling me in a different direction, so I leaned into building the career around acting and digital media.
Syd and TP on Basketball, Comedy, and What Comes Next
Q: What is playing overseas really like for a player in Syd and TP's position?
Overseas basketball is demanding and not just about basketball; it often means being far from family, adjusting to new cultures and languages, and weighing the financial and personal trade-offs. It requires a deep love for the game, resilience, and a willingness to adapt to different teams and expectations.
