  • Great Information. Bad Audio.

The information and rodeo updates are fantastic. Enjoy the guests and topics discussed. Only negatives are the poor audio quality of the hosts being recorded through "Net Meeting" type calls with bad laptop microphones and the disagreement discussions that go on forever with the "agree to disagree" result 30 minutes later. Great that it's a clean lyric show. A few tweaks to the audio and discussion banter would make this show a full five stars.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

EP 102 The Iron Man of Pro Rodeo
Q: How does the cut work? Is it a true five-header?
The event starts with a larger field (historically around 25) and after the rounds there are cuts to reduce the field, so the top competitors advance through two rounds of competition until the final round determines the winner; some debate exists about how aggressively to cut and whether it benefits the overall fairness and spectacle.
EP 102 The Iron Man of Pro Rodeo
Q: What is this event? Give us the nuts and bolts. What is it?
It's a five-discipline, 25-head timed event where competitors complete head/heel, calf-roping, steer wrestling, and bulldogging in sequence, with two days of rounds and a final aggregate time that decides the winner.
EP 100 Navigating Every Parent's Worst Nightmare
Q: How have you and Spencer managed this?
We both lean on each other, and we've never blamed each other for Levi's accident. We talk openly about our feelings and memories of Levi, which helps us cope together.
EP 97 PRCA CEO Tom Glause
Q: Can you share with me what your current salary is or what is, isn't there some of it that's published?
My salary is public... It's covered in the 990s, so... My salary is paid by PRCA properties, so it's reported as a related entity.
EP 97 PRCA CEO Tom Glause
Q: Did you hear a counter from Colorado Springs or the state of Colorado?
Yes, we did. It was not as concrete an offer as we had hoped.
