  • Unimpressive

I'm sorry to say these guys aren't very impressive. They seem to spend the whole podcast trying to apply genre labels to music that doesn't need such labels. And the band is called Coc-TOE Twins (not Coc-TAW).

Love hearing the brothers talk about music that means something to them. Entertaining banter that only a true familial bond could produce. These bros are the real deal

  • Its like hanging out with friends - talking about music we all love

The podast is reminiscent of college days, hanging out with buddies and spending hours playing tracks we love. Travis and Quentin, real-life brothers, bring their love of music and research together and invite you to plop down on their couch and hang out with them while they play some tunes. I love their passion for music and how it's expressed and their taste in bands seems to align with my own and yet I find them introducing me to music I missed but need to hear. A great way to spend an hour.

Frequently Asked Questions About No Filler Music Podcast

What is No Filler Music Podcast about and what kind of topics does it cover?

Listeners are drawn to thoughtful, casually hosted music conversations that mix deep dives into albums with personal anecdotes and cultural context. Show topics span 90s and early 2000s indie and alt-rock, behind-the-scenes storytelling, and artist history, with frequent banter and a close, almost hang-out vibe. A standout attribute is the dual-host dynamic (often described as brothers or close friends) that blends nostalgia with nerdy research, plus a clear affection for overlooked gems between singles. This makes it appealing to music nerds who enjoy context-rich discussions, track-by-track breakdowns, and curated deep cuts rather than overproduced review formats.
