英語でのワークショップなどでの質疑応答。先日、通訳として参加させていただいたときに、いちばん文化の違いを感じた場面でした。質疑応答の時ってちょっと緊張する、という方、いますよね？
日本では、質問が出ないときは「理解できている」「特に疑問がない」と前向きに受け取られることが多いと思います。
ただ、国が変わると、同じ“沈黙”でも少し違う意味で受け取られることがあります。
