  • Wonderful podcast!!!

Josh is awesome! Talking about neurodivergence from a Christian perspective is a badly needed resource and he not only does that, but gives real meaning and connection to both our unique selves and to God, in kind, genuine, and super helpful ways.

I highly recommend that anyone who is neurodivergent, has neurodivergent friends or family, listens to every single episode.

Keep it up Josh. We need ya!

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Growing Up Undiagnosed In Christian Church + School (Pt 2)
Q: I'm curious then for you, what eventually led to your diagnosis and your understanding of the way your brain works?
Alyssa describes an ambush diagnostic moment on the same day as her son's assessment, initially resisting labels, then recognizing ADHD and autism through a neuropsych evaluation and professional feedback about eye contact and masking, which reframed her past experiences in church and education.
Listening to Our Listeners: Celebrating One Year of Neurodivergent Faith
Q: How do we draw the line between allowing God to be strong in our weaknesses and showing up to hard things versus turning things down or accommodating for ourselves?
There is no simple one-size-fits-all answer; it's important to listen to your body and gauge your motivation for showing up in uncomfortable spaces.
Masking as Performing Belonging (a conversation with Sunita Theiss)
Q: What does masking feel like for you, both internally or externally?
It's a mix of survival and a constant recalibration, monitoring my body and tone to fit in, often leading to exhaustion and disconnect.
Masking and Spiritual Formation (An Introduction)
Q: What might it look like to bring your unmasked self into prayer this week?
It may involve genuine self-reflection and allowing vulnerability in one's spiritual life.
Masking and Spiritual Formation (An Introduction)
Q: Where in your life do you feel like you're performing rather than being yourself?
Many feel they perform to fit in or meet expectations, causing disconnection from their true selves.
