Cloudflare buys Void0, Google buying up compute from xAI, and Claude seems to be getting more anxious so we're here to break down everything this week on another episode of Nerd Snipe!

Opus 4.8 + a ton of new stuff in Claude Code dropped this week, and we actually kinda like it. There's also a new benchmark that's actually good, and we have a lot of thoughts about the future of these AI labs...

Not only did Google accidentally ban Railway's account, but their new flagship model Gemini 3.5 Flash is absurdly bad. Oh and apparently Theo's building his own cloud...

Peter, the creator of openclaw is apparently going through $1,300,000 worth of tokens every month. Seems like we're not using nearly enough tokens. Oh and the security psychosis is getting worse. (Anthropic is being bad again too)

It’s a good show
I'm a big Theo fan. I watch his YouTube all the time. Because of this podcast I'm a big Ben fan too! Theo has mentioned him a lot but now I can put a face/voice to the name. Great to be able to keep up somewhat without having to get on YT.
I’m a Theo Stan and will drink up any new content. I learn and keep up dev tech news and events. The juicy dirt is like icing on the ai-cake.
Listening to two developers conversate in an unedited format is pretty refreshing. I need a beer
Can confirm, this is one of the few dev podcasts that actually feels like real devs are on it. I might be biased though…

They frequently dissect the strategic moves of players like OpenAI, Anthropic, and other AI ecosystems, mix in sponsor reads, and keep a lively, humorous tone that appeals to builders, engineers, and decision-makers who want fast, opinionated takes plus actionable takeaways. A standout flavor is the casual, deeply technical banter that blends skepticism about platform ecosystems with practical testing anecdotes, making it... more
