Such amazing and thorough research to put together this podcast which promises to be fabulous! A wonderful era heard through the beautiful writing and reading of Ms. Bannos from the letters of Miss Alice Austen, a groundbreaking photographic artist near the beginnings of the medium. This is a gem among gems.
This is such an interesting look at a very different time. These people had a great deal of leisure time, “Mama” was most interested in her daughter Alice’s clothing and social life, no other concerns seemed pressing. In our day and age, we are bombarded with so much information, pleasant and not, from all over the world, that it is refreshing and somehow to sink back into a slower life, which these podcasts allow one to do.
