  • Learning so much

It’s just calming podcast. The intro and break music is just beautiful. Mother Miriam has a calming voice and has a way of teaching that I don’t feel judged, even though the truth can hurt. I love how she answers people’s questions sent to her. TYSM for the love that you share with spreading the teachings of the Catholic Church.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Where Is the True Church? (Follow Up From 06/29/26)
Q: How should Catholics respond to perceived errors without endorsing schism or disbelief in the pope?
The hosts emphasize speaking out against errors with charity, while recognizing that infallibility is a limited gift and that indefectibility means the Church cannot defect from her essential mission; believers should engage with truth and tradition rather than capitulate to sensationalism or divisions.
The Christian Mother - Part 2
Q: If a widow or someone with an annulment contemplates religious life, can they pursue becoming a nun, and how common is it for older women to enter orders?
Yes, a widow or a person with a decree of nullity can pursue religious life, and while some orders have age limits, many communities are open to older candidates; it's more common today to see women of varied ages entering contemplative or active life.
The Christian Mother - Part 2
Q: What should Morella do when people ask her to pray for them, and how should she pray effectively for their needs?
Mother Miriam guides Morella to simply talk to God, naming the needs and asking for growth in faith, holiness, and proper growth of the family, while praying for the individuals' circumstances and spiritual well-being.
The Birthday of the Church
Q: Do you have any advice on how to talk to people about why socialism is bad?
She recommends researching and presenting well-documented arguments about the incompatibility of socialist policies with faith and independence, and organizing community discussions with neighbors to spread awareness and educate people on the dangers she believes socialism poses to family and religion.
The Birthday of the Church
Q: What can I do as a seller when I do not want to pass this home on to someone who clearly and publicly is living in a way that is not in accord with my beliefs and God's commands?
She suggests exploring Catholic realtors or agencies that respect faith-based restrictions, and considering changing companies if necessary, while staying true to one's beliefs and not compromising on moral grounds.
