Jokes on Burnie, both Celtic and Rangers play in Glasgow. Burnie has to go Celtic, their identity/fandom is Scot-Irish and Catholic and don’t like the English King very much. Rangers is more upper class Protestant and pro-monarchy. Guys in the pub weren’t talking sports they’re trying to determine your Scottish politics/identity. Not knowing means you’re American and don’t have a dog in the fight
I like burnie and Ashley. I know the podcast is something they are doing for fun or I guess money. Sometimes when they talk about news stories I’m amazed by how much they are wrong about facts.
I get they are just having fun and having natural discussions but some of the stuff they say is just flat out incorrect.
I enjoy this podcast and its very quick which helps because in the past I would want longer podcasts which became a problem on re-listens marathoning. Burnie and ash are great nothing is wrong in a major level.
Things to expect going in though, dont expect this to the an RT podcast replacement. While burnie does retell old podcast stuff sometimes for people who listened to them back then, its not required for you to enjoy this podcast. Speaking of, one of the old podcast elements is the concep... more
Scotland qualified for the World Cup and I need Bernie to be excited about that

Two long-running hosts bring a brisk, morning-show style discussion of pop culture, current events, tech, and entertainment, delivered with quick banter and personal anecdotes. Episodes blend personal life with news, gaming, and media gossip, frequently circling back to favorite nerdy and entertainment topics while keeping the pace light and conversational. A notable strength is the duo's chemistry and return-to-form energy, making it easy to listen during commutes or mornings, with occasional guests adding fresh viewpoints. A recurring lure is the casual, non-pushy sponsor integration and a format that stays concise and approachable for daily listening.
