Dit is niet de zoveelste true crime podcast. Geen eindeloos gerecycleerd jatwerk, maar goed onderzochte, originele cases. Niet zielloos opgelezen door een krijsende heks, maar vol verve verteld door Liz’ geruststellende stem. Geen taal- en stijlfouten die je in het gezicht raken, maar prachtige volzinnen om je oren mee te strelen. Geen vals sentiment, maar heerlijk onderkoelde humor. Dank Liz Luyben, ga zo verder! 🍀

De schrijfster onderzoekt uitvoerig, blijft weg van bloederige sensatie maar zet haar verhalen in de verf met interessante context over verre streken, lang vervlogen tijden, vreemde gebruiken, recepten, dieren, boeken… en altijd ontstaat een boeiende vertelling, heel geestig en prettig voorgelezen. Bedankt voor voor de vele fijne uurtjes waarin deze podcast mij gezelschap hield, het is precies goed.
