Listening to these guys reminds me of being in college listening to people debate the best album by whatever band. I need people to talk to music about.
The best podcast I have come across the past few years. 2 great hosts discussing amazing albums, from the music, artwork, interviews to behind the scenes info…all the great stuff gets discussed. Playing some songs in between is the cherry on top. It’s like the podcast was specifically made for me…oh and the random chats are stellar. Keep up the great work gents!!
What a find this pod was! Two easy going English gents talking all things rock and metal. There's a lovely chemistry between Neil and Chris. Like listening to mates down the pub. This pod has broadened my musical horizons and is a fixture in my podcasting week. Engaging, informative, nostalgic, entertaining, humourous are all words that come to mind.
In short... Riffology is dead good !!!
I love how these two wise men dissect the albums they choose (and what great choices they make!) with humour, interesting facts and great interviews of the artists...awesome podcast!
So glad that I stumbled into Riffology. The Back in Black and LZ IV episodes are first rate. The fellas do a great job in mixing historical elements of the recordings along with perfect song selections. Keep up the good work!

Riffology centers on deep dives into landmark rock albums, exploring studio sessions, production chaos, and band drama that shaped iconic records. Hosts share personal anecdotes, technical notes on mic techniques and guitar tones, and vivid memories from the vinyl era, weaving historical context with affection and humor. The show stands out for its nerdy, storytelling approach to classic albums, often balancing nostalgia with insightful takes on the recording process and cultural impact. This makes it appealing to listeners who love deep cuts, production trivia, and behind-the-scenes stories from long-form music history.
