健康診断では異常がなかったのに、突然病気が見つかる――。
動脈硬化や心不全などの心血管疾患は、自覚症状がないまま進行することがあります。そんな病気の背景には、「血液をつくる細胞の変化」が関わっているかもしれない。
そんな研究に取り組んでいるのが、名古屋大学医学部附属病院循環器内科/高等研究院 助教の由良義充（ゆらよしみつ）さんと医学部附属病院 循環器内科 元大学院生｜現在公立東濃中部医療センター 医師の米川 淳（よねかわ じゅん）さんです。

「がんが転移する。」
この言葉はよく耳にします。その転移先のひとつが「骨」。
なかでも、「脊椎」に転移しやすいことが知られています。
今回お話を伺ったのは、脊椎に転移したがんに対する治療判断について研究を進める伊藤 定之（いとう さだゆき）さん（医学部附属病院 整形外科 病院講師）です。
「手術をするべきか、しないべきか。」
伊藤さんは、このシンプルでありながら極めて難しい問いに向き合っています。
見ているだけだと「ふ〜ん。」で終わってしまうことが、触れることで「なんで？」という疑問がどんどん湧いてきます。そんな「見る」だけではなく「考える」展示の方法を研究する名古屋大学の梅村 綾子（うめむら あやこ）さん（名古屋大学博物館 特任助教）。
展示は答えを与えるものではなく、問いを生み出すもの。
梅村さんはそう考え、研究を進めています。
