之所以要写这份预定指南是因为这个项目绝对不是想参加之间买票就可以成行的，必须提前预定才有可能预定成功。在蒲甘的旺季，最好的热气球之旅通常需要提前三个月进行预定，否则肯定是一票难求。您没有看错，真实的情况有过之而无不及，一鹿老师在这里绝非故意夸张。
到蒲甘旅游，最好是提前预定导游。因为这个地方没有导游啥都看不懂，而真正挂牌的合法的当地中文导游一共也只有两名。当然很多旅行团会从仰光、曼德勒派全陪来讲解，但大多都是和稀泥的讲解方式。真正的蒲甘，是有历史沉淀的，是有文化积累的，专业的讲解会让您更多地感受原汁原味的蒲甘，让您感受千年蒲甘的底蕴。
我们抵达曼德勒的航班已经接近黄昏，接我们的司机开着车把我们送往位于曼德勒山脚下的酒店。在这途中，您会发现极具辨识度的城墙建筑还有护城河。我可以毫不夸张地讲，就其城墙的规模来说绝不亚于北京故宫的城墙。我们驱车许久，才绕过城墙抵达曼德勒山脚下。清晨醒来，透过酒店的窗外，第一个映入眼帘的便是那城墙围绕的曼德勒皇宫区域。
乌本桥全长1200多米，最独特的地方是它由1086根真材实料的柚木建造而成，据说是目前世界上最长的柚木木桥。桥建在东塔曼湖上，四周没有任何大型的现代建筑，湖面虽有污染（不是那种工业的污染，而是营养过剩，有各种藻类和植物漂浮在水面上），但贵在极其平静，所以在这里拍摄出的摄影作品古朴而又纯净，原始而又真实。难怪国家地理杂志刊出后，一下子爆红，成为一个网红的打卡地。
