The inspiration shifted from a fur trading game to Dungeon Diners after being recommended to watch the anime Delicious in Dungeon.

The idea came in 2021, sparked by a shower thought that led to writing it down immediately afterwards.

My journey into board game design is different than most, mostly because of TikTok, which helped with playtesting and gaining feedback.

Q: How did you come up with the story of a Marsh Mallow trying to escape these fiery cultists?
My co-designer Kelly Reese, who had a design project using Marsh Mallows, inspired the story after I found her postcard and imagined a game where marshmallows were involved.

Q: Tell us a little bit about the game, and then we'll get into how you came up with the story.
In Marsh Hollow, you play Marshall the Marshmallow, whose family has been taken in by a Pyromancy Marshmallow cult, and along with Anel the Forest, you try to break them out.
