  • Great show with one glaring issue

MVP and Dwayne Swayze are giving us some of the best wrestling podcasting to date. The only issue I have is the volume levels of their audio. I can’t hear them in my car with the volume turned as far up as it goes. I’m not an audio engineer but it sounds like they need to be closer to their microphones or turn the levels on the control desk up or something. Absolute banger of a podcast otherwise. Dwayne asks some really good questions and P gives the best type of answers.

EP. 44 - Marking Out with MVP & Dwayne Swayze LIVE at WrestleVerse Fest Houston
Q: What are your thoughts on Will Ospreay—Royce Keys in WWE—and how would you approach debut or usage strategies for a rising star today?
I'm proud of Royce Keys and supportive of his path; while I don't do fantasy bookings, I'm confident that Will's growth is a testament to continually refining one's craft and aligning opportunities with family and career needs, which is the right approach for a rising star today.
EP. 44 - Marking Out with MVP & Dwayne Swayze LIVE at WrestleVerse Fest Houston
Q: With your plans for retirement and mentoring younger talent, how do you intend to balance living in the moment with preparing the next generation?
I want to retire on my own terms but stay involved by developing younger talent behind the scenes, offering seminars, and guiding them through the business while maintaining a hands-on presence that helps them navigate the industry without sacrificing their long-term health and families.
EP. 44 - Marking Out with MVP & Dwayne Swayze LIVE at WrestleVerse Fest Houston
Q: What was the most underrated talent you've seen, and who deserved more spotlight during your era?
Shelton Benjamin is a standout who deserved more world-title opportunities; his class behind the scenes was filled with talent, and he consistently delivered in the ring, which is why I'd elevate him as an example of brilliance that wasn't always fully recognized at the level it deserved.
EP. 44 - Marking Out with MVP & Dwayne Swayze LIVE at WrestleVerse Fest Houston
Q: When you carry that IWGP Intercontinental Championship and then return to the U.S. landscape, how did international experience shape your approach to the United States title in WWE or elsewhere?
International stints in Japan reinforced the importance of credibility and adaptability; the IC title served as a proving ground for carrying a larger spotlight, which I carried back into my U.S. title run with a broader perspective on how to engage fans and perform under different cultural expectations.
EP. 58 – Kenny King Talks Vince Russo, Beatdown Clan & TNA Drama
Q: What moment from Kenny King's family life shaped his wrestling journey the most?
Kenny talks about his father's initial skepticism but eventual pride, especially after his Tough Enough final exam and the later validation from autographs for his dad's clients, illustrating how family reactions can pivot from doubt to support as a wrestler progresses.
