今月５～11日に東京体育館で行われた全日本バレーボール高校選手権大会（春高バレー）。本県男子代表として出場した雄物川は強豪校を次々と倒し、４年ぶりの４強入りを果たしました。

昨年１２月１７日に逝去した、秋田市出身の脚本家・内館牧子さん。数多くのテレビドラマを手がけ、全国的に活躍する一方で、秋田市出身であることを前面に打ち出し、本紙をはじめ多くの媒体を通じて秋田県の魅力を発信。県民に広く愛されました。
内館さんと交流のあった県内関係者に取材した文化部の北嶋彩佳記者、加藤大輝記者、清水美沙記者の３人が、取材を通して見えてきた内館さんの人柄や「書くこと」への真摯な姿勢について語ります。
２０２４年秋に発表した事業停止から一転、現在は中田建設（秋田市）の支援を受け、経営再建に取り組んでいる能代市唯一の酒造会社「喜久水酒造」。ＪＲ奥羽線の旧鶴形トンネルを貯蔵庫として活用する取り組みでも知られ、「縄文能代」などの銘柄が地元に愛されてきました。
喜久水酒造のお酒の魅力や、復活劇の裏側について、能代支局の加藤龍太郎記者と藤岡真希記者（三種町駐在）が語ります。これを聞けばお酒が飲みたくなること間違いなし！

秋田県民が年末年始に楽しみにしている季節ハタハタ。１１月に秋田県が今季のハタハタの漁獲量が「ほぼない」と推定し、県内に衝撃が走りました。実際に１２月から漁が始まりましたが、厳しい状況が続いています。男鹿市の北浦漁港では１６日夜から１７日朝にかけて１０・３キロが水揚げされたのが、今季最もまとまった漁獲量となりました。
