  • Wonderful

What a gem. Sulk was just one of the albums on my turntable when I was a student in Liverpool in 1982 but 40 years on it really holds up more than any of the others. And this podcast is a treasure of live recordings that showcase the unique talent of Billy Mackenzie. It's the modern equivalent of findings a box full of rare bootlegs in a cupboard. The piano-vocal versions of some of the classics like 'No' are just awesome.

It was wonderful to hear Chris Thomson reminiscing the early Bathers albums together with bringing us up to date with what he has been doing in recent years. Can’t wait to hear the new album. An excellent podcast with great music from the best band to come out of Scotland. For those who love The Bathers this will be a real treat & for those unfamiliar with their music, give it a try. It will blow your mind! more
