Wanted to hear thoughts in the encyclical. Well done Josh! (And I’ll give an assist to Erika)
Sadly Tom is still showing his uneducated position on EVERYTHING and frankly am sure is an embarrassment to his Alma Mater.
Used to be a Catholic podcast and now it’s a conspiracy show with Thomas Massie and Candace Owens as the go to experts.
I will preface this by saying I love this show. It’s been a longstanding part of my weekly routine, and I love tuning in to hear the banter and hot takes - but, BUT! The new once a week format is ruining it. The news is stale by the time they get around to it on Wednesday. I know the tradeoff is supposed to be the Q&A added to the longer weekly episodes but I don’t really go to the Loopcast for that kind of content. I have really enjoyed this show for over a year now, but the new format of it being just once a week leaves me less interested. Same old sanctimonious dialogue. .. tired of having to FF over you, …full of …it!

LOOPcast delivers timely analysis of current events, politics, and culture through a Catholic worldview, pairing sharp debate with thoughtful interviews and light banter. Recent episodes mix hard news, policy discussion, and cultural commentary, often discussing hot-button issues through faith-informed lenses and close-knit host camaraderie. A standout is the consistent inclusion of interviews (The Deep) and occasional live, sponsor-integrated segments, all designed to help listeners stay informed and grounded in faith while navigating secular discourse.
Unique strengths include a clear interdisciplinary approach (news, culture, and faith), regular guest-led deep dives, and a commitment to closing with a positive note or prayer. The format... more
