Venus is extremely hot at the surface with a barren landscape and a thick atmosphere dominated by carbon dioxide and sulfuric acid clouds.

Q: Well, I want to go back to that journey in 1985. And Peter, you have your dad's sense of underselling the drama, because it sounded like you all were stuck, like you were stuck for a couple of days because of a whiteout.
