今も昔も、日本の中長距離界のトップシーンを見渡すと、なぜか「佐藤」という名字の選手が驚異的な強さを見せています。
伝説のあの選手も、今話題のあの選手も、見渡す限り、右も左も佐藤選手だらけ。駅伝・中長距離ファンに「あなたにとっての佐藤選手とは？」という質問を投げかけると、各世代でとんでもない数の佐藤選手が出てくるかと思います。
