独立して10周年を迎えました。
今回は少し特別な回です。
10周年の感謝の会を開こうと思った理由、独立したばかりの頃のこと、たくさんのご縁に支えられて歩んできた10年、そして、これからの時間をどう過ごしていきたいと思っているのか。

前回のアートのお話から、ひとつの疑問が生まれました。
高価な車には価値を感じるのに、なぜ一枚のアートには価値を感じにくいのでしょう。
その問いをきっかけに、「目には見えない価値」について考えてみました。
音楽や旅、花やインテリア。
なくても生きてはいけるけれど、あることで毎日が少し豊かになるものがあります。
住まいも同じです。
資産価値や駅からの距離のように、数字で比較できるものも大切。でも、本当の住み心地や心地よさは、誰も点数にはしてくれません。

「アートって何を選んだらいいかわからないんです」
と言われることがよくあります。
実は私も最初からアートに詳しかったわけではありません。
中学生の頃、美術展で見たルドンの作品に惹かれ、
ポスターを買って自分の部屋に飾ったのが始まりでした。
一方で、ある年のカレンダーに掲載されていたカンディンスキーの作品を見て、正直
「これを一年見るのかぁ……」と思ったことを覚えています。
でも不思議なことに、
見続けるうちに少しずつ感じ方が変わっていきました。

年々厳しくなる夏の暑さ。
最上階のマンション、北向きの窓、庇のある暮らし、緑のカーテン。
住まいは、どちらの方角に向いているかによって、
見える景色も、感じる温度も変わります。
窓ガラスの厚さ対策や風の通り道といった実務的なお話もしながら、
北の光の美しい特性についても触れてみました。
住まいの暑さ寒さのコントロールって、結局は光と風との付き合い方なのかもしれませんね。
