流動共學嘗試自己教育自己辦。香港現在最大的危機,是缺學無思,社會逐漸失去學習的意願與能力,也就是不再能夠開放地接納和回應陌生或新鮮事物,無法離開陳腐過時的偏見和習慣,失卻糾正錯誤的能力。因此,流動共學重申「學習」的重要性,以尋求一種最徹底和根本的社會改變。 流動共學嘗試建立一個鼓勵民眾共學的平台,轉化考試主導和消費主義的被動式教育,把主動的﹑帶公共性的學習看作為社會轉變過程的重要組成部份,希望透過理解學習者在特定的歷史時刻和社會環境下的生活所需和情感關注,使教與學的內容和過程學習者的生命歷程相關。 流動共學以開放方式辦學,不設入學條件,凡願意學習者,均可參與。學員無需交功課,也不設考試。沒有固定修學年限,也不頒發畢業証書,因應不同學員在不同的生命階段的需要和興趣,隨時選讀,重拾學習的樂趣。
