Really interesting stories; I've enjoyed them. As a note, if you're here for the history of Congo, know that this is history since 1885 (of course Congo has a long and storied history before then) from a specific perspective (white American Protestant missionary in the NW region). The part that he tells is great though! Like he says, Congo's wars and tragic humanitarian situation should be much more common knowledge.
Jeff’s stories about his life growing up in Congo are quite something. It’s cool to learn about a part of the world that so often we only get tiny glimpses. I specifically liked the episode on Congolese cuisine - there’s a whole continent of food that just never gets any attention here in the US so I enjoyed listening to the details about how the traditional dishes are prepared! It’s worth listening to for sure.
